St. Michael's Day - November 8, 2024
On Friday, November 8th, our parish celebrated the feast day of our patron saint the holy Archangel Michael and the other Bodiless Powers of Heaven. We were joined by the clergy of the Frackville Deanery and the faithful of the neighboring parishes.
This special day was made even more meaningful as we also honored, as has been our tradition on this feast, our veterans in observance of Veterans' Day. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, we offered a prayer to thank the Lord for the brave men and women who serve in the armed forces, as well as for the healing of their physical and spiritual wounds.
After the Liturgy, everyone was invited to share a festal meal in fellowship in the church hall, where veterans were recognized and honored. We pray that the holy Archangel Michael will continue to intercede for us, and that our merciful Lord bless our veterans with peace and strength.
