Following the liturgy, Archbishop Mark joined us for our 4th annual parish cookout, which was also a great opportunity for members of the parish to meet the newly appointed Father Ignatius Hunter and Matushka Seraphima.

St. Michael’s supports several local charities and provided four of the charities $150 each. Alli Rake, Executive Director of the Lower Anthracite United Way, accepted a check from Father Ignatius and His Eminence to use toward the school backpack drive this summer.

We all enjoyed the food and appreciated the efforts of those who helped in the kitchen.

We had lots of fun during the door prize give-away and basket raffle.

Most importantly, all enjoyed the fellowship and the visit from the local ice cream truck.
